Duct Cleaning, NADCA Certified, From $449.99
Residential duct cleaning starts at $449.99 for the first system. The process is NADCA (North American Duct Cleaning Association) certified, which matters because it is the part of this trade where a cheap job and a real job look identical from the hallway.
Chapter 01
Why NADCA certification is the thing to check for
A duct cleaning job that only reaches the first few feet of visible ductwork through a register looks identical, from a homeowner's hallway, to a job that actually cleaned the whole system. NADCA certification means the process follows a documented standard: full-length agitation, real vacuum extraction, and a before-and-after check, rather than a five-minute pass with a shop vac.
That's why this is one of the few services on this site with a stated starting price attached: $449.99 for the first system. A cheap-looking quote for the same job is usually a shorter job, not a better deal.

What the power whip and the 3-stage vacuum actually do
The process runs a power whip agitator the full length of every duct, not just the accessible sections near a register, paired with a 3-stage HEPA vacuum pulling the dislodged debris out of the system instead of just stirring it around. Registers are removed, cleaned and reinstalled rather than wiped in place, and the whole system gets sanitized once the agitation and vacuum pass is done.
A new 1-inch filter goes in at the end of the job, so the system isn't immediately re-contaminating the ductwork that was just cleaned with whatever was left in the old filter.
Chapter 03
The before-and-after walkthrough
Every duct cleaning job ends with a before-and-after walkthrough, so the difference is something a homeowner sees directly rather than takes on the technician's word. That's consistent with how Comfort Central prices repairs generally: state the number, do the job to a documented standard, and show the result.
Duct cleaning also pairs directly with indoor air quality equipment. A UV air scrubber or humidifier installed onto ductwork that hasn't been cleaned is working against buildup the equipment alone can't fix.
